What kind of eye specialist are you?

I am a glaucoma specialist.

Where did you study?

I did my MBBS and MS in ophthalmology from Government Medical College in Jammu and followed this up with a Fellowship from Venu Eye Institute and Research centre.

What are your areas of interest in glaucoma?

Medical as well as surgical management of glaucoma and cataract

Other Academic Achievements? I regularly take part in conferences and also like mentoring students. I have been a co-guide for two Post graduate thesis. What inspired you to do ophthalmology?

I became an ophthalmologist because of my father and also the lack of ophthalmologists in our country- I was also inspired by some doctors I knew in my hometown in late 1990s.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I enjoy painting.
