What kind of eye specialist are you?

I am a Refractive & cornea surgeon, Cataract surgeon & Dry Eye Specialist.

Where did you study?

I did my graduation & postgtaduation - MBBS &MS- from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi. I specialised in cornea & anterior segment at the famous L V Prasad Eye Institute. I also am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow).

What are your areas of interest in Anterior Segment?

Lamellar corneal transplant procedures like DSEK, DSAEK, and DALK and ocular surface procedures such as SLET.

Other Academic Achievements?

I am the Editor-in-Chief of “Nayan”, the Shroff Eye Centre eye journal. I have also won many awards and published research articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.

What inspired you to do ophthalmology?

My mother had glaucoma surgery when I was young. Becoming a doctor & ophthalmologist was a childhood dream.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I am a keen gardener and enjoy birding.
