What kind of eye specialist are you?

I am a cataract, cornea & refractive specialist. 

Q1. What are your areas of interest in cornea & cataract?

Keratoconus, Lasik and other refractive surgeries, Corneal transplants, femto laser assisted cataract and Phacoemuslification cataract surgeries.

Q2. Where did you study?

I did my MBBS- Teerthanker Mahaveer university, Moradabad and my DNB in ophthalmology from Shroff Eye Centre. After this I did my Fellowship in Cornea, cataract and Refractive surgery from Shroff Eye Centre as well. 

Q3. Other academic achievements:

I am actively involved in teaching DNB students and also present at national and international conferences.  I was awarded at the All India Ophthalmology conference in 2022 for the third best thesis and have won the Best Video Award at Indian IntraOcular Implant and Refractive Society of India (IIRSI) conference 2023 and His Master’s Voice conference 2023.  Links to academic papers

Q5. What inspired you to do ophthalmology?

The eye is such a delicate and complex organ- and the ability to restore or preserve someone's vision felt incredibly impactful to me. Also witnessing the positive outcomes of eye treatments and surgeries, and the fact that we can help patients regain a crucial part of their independence and life- this made me decide to further pursue ophthalmology.

Q6. What do you do when not at work?

I love traveling and discovering new places. I am also a big foodie and love trying different food! Q7. Favourite quote or motto you live by:  "Dream big, work hard, stay focused, and surround yourself with good people.”
