We offer DNB Ophthalmology, short and long-term Fellowships in subspecialties of ophthalmology as well as internships & trainee positions in Optometry. To know more details about a course, please click on its respective page.
The training programme has been in place since 2005. Graduates and fellows have either joined Shroff Eye Centre or been accepted into other prestigious institutions like PGI Chandigarh, Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Orbis International etc.
The faculty and students from Shroff Eye Centre are actively involved in research, the results of which have been published in several peer-reviewed indexed journals. Members from our faculty have been invited at numerous national and international conferences as Speaker, Moderator and Panellists. Several prestigious awards at these conferences have also been won for research presentations. Various textbooks in ophthalmology written by our faculty are available which are thorough and informative and hence, widely popular among students.
Our hands-on training ensures that learning facilitates higher forms of thinking, such as analyzing and evaluating patient problems, applying and developing patient and surgical skills, rather than just memorising medical facts.

When do admissions open?
This depends on the course. DNB admissions are based on NEET counselling.
Fellowships and optometry trainee/ observership/ internships have variable admission dates based on seat availability and our requirement. Please check respective pages to know more about openings and also contact hr@shroffeye.in

Do you have an entrance exam?
DNB admissions are based on NEET exam and counseling.
Fellows have to provide their CV, statement of interest and go through an interview process with our faculty to qualify.

Do you provide a stipend?
Yes. DNB and fellows receive a stipend based on NBE and hospital guidelines.

Do you provide surgical training to fellows?
Yes, depending on your subspeciality, you will be given ample surgical opportunities in your fellowship.

Is there opportunity for research?
Yes, for those interested, our faculty and staff encourage research work along with your clinical work. You can join an ongoing research project, write papers and present in conferences.

Do you take in research fellows?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any purely research fellowships yet. But we are always happy to hear from you if you have some interesting work in mind.
