I am a Retina Specialist and Vitreo-retina surgeon.

My areas of interest are Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy
Where did you study?
I attended the renowned Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi and the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai. I am also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow).
Other Academic Achievements?
I have been actively involved in research and teaching programmes on Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy- and have published in more than 40 peer reviewed and International journals. I am a reviewer for prestigious journals including Ophthalmology, the American Journal of Ophthalmology and BMC Ophthalmology and am also on the Editorial board of the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology.
In 2016, I won the coveted Rhett Buckler Trophy at the annual meeting of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) and the Award for best video at the 25th annual VRSI conference.

What inspired you to choose ophthalmology?
I always wanted to help the community in some way. I am also a great admirer of my grandfather, the late Dr. Minoo Shroff- so I set out to become an ophthalmologist like him.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy cooking and reading!
